Meet the Team
Duncan McIntyre is currently CEO having founded Highland in the second half of 2018. He is responsible for overall company vision, leadership, and strategy by playing key roles in all aspects of sales, financing, and operations.
Duncan previously founded Altenex (2011), a marketplace for renewable energy procurement, analysis, and deal structuring and led its successful sale to Edison International in 2015. While at Altenex, he built over 2 GW of utility scale renewable energy for corporations. Duncan has also had a prior career in venture capital and investment banking. His background covers many aspects of energy, including financing, new technology implementation, business model development, procurement, and team building.
Duncan graduated from Babson College with a degree in Finance.
EVP of Capital Markets
Rich DiMatteo is currently EVP of Capital Markets at Highland. He is responsible for all capital markets leadership, project underwriting, and contract origination. Prior to Highland, Rich led solar financing and strategy for Edison Energy, held key structured finance roles at SunEdison and completed the GE Financial Management Program (FMP) with Business Honors. Rich graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a degree in Economics and Environmental Studies.
VP of Sales
Marc Riccio is currently the VP of Sales at Highland. He is primarily responsible for building and running a best in class direct sales organization, including building key strategic partnerships across VAR and OEM channels. Prior to Highland, Marc was a key member of the Alternative Fuels Division for the Blue Bird Corporation. In addition to having over a decade of relevant experience in the school bus market, he has also held various other roles in consulting and private equity. Marc graduated with honors from Michigan State University with a degree in Commercial Art and Art History.
